Rashad McCants Released

In two games with the Powerade Tigers of the Philippines Basketball Association, Rashad McCants averaged 25.5 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists and one steal a game.  He was rewarded with these solid numbers by getting released.  The Tigers started the Governor's Cup losing their first two games.  The team seemed to panic by releasing a player that was producing very solid numbers.  McCants had a short stint in
Puerto Rico earlier this year with two different teams.  The second team, Piratas de Quebradillas, released
him after he played a total of four minutes.  After his latest release McCants said, "For the time spent I can say I don't regret a second.  Overall I got to see a part of the world I never seen.  For that I am grateful, thank you."
According to McCants' twitter page he arrived back home in Los Angeles shortly after his release.  McCants will be working out this summer in Las Vegas in hopes of making a roster in the NBA next season.
