Harrison Barnes' NBA Draft Preview

Now that the NBA lottery has been decided Harrison Barnes and other Tar Heels can get a better idea of where they could end up.  Barnes has great size for a small forward in the NBA.  He also has a high basketball IQ and is fluid athletically which will help him adapt to a more physical game at the next level.  Barnes will need to work on improving his outside shot which was inconsistent last season.  He also will need to find a way to penetrate and create his own shot.

Barnes is considered to be in a group with Bradley Beal, Thomas Robinson, Michael Kidd-Gilchrist,  Andre
Drummond and Perry Jones that could be selected from the second to seventh pick.  There is several teams that are interested in Barnes, one being the Sacramento Kings who pick fifth.  He would help comprise a young and promising starting lineup with Tyreke Evans, Demarcus Cousins and Isaiah Thomas.  Another possible destination could be the Cleveland Cavaliers and possibly teaming with two of the top four picks last year.  The Cavs could use a player like Barnes as they started Alonzo Gee and Anthony Parker at the SF position this season.  In the next few weeks Barnes will be able to address those who question his game and could  emerge as a top three pick.
