Tyler Zeller's NBA Draft Profile

In his four years at Chapel Hill Tyler Zeller fell just a little short on his quest for two NCAA championships.Zeller chose to skip last years NBA draft and return for his Senior year in an attempt to gain another championship. Zeller was one of two Seniors on this years Tar Heel team and he leaves Chapel Hill
with many accolades including: ACC Player of the Year and an Academic All American.

Zeller epitomizes the term "student athlete" and he is a special kind of player that does not come along often.
He is the poster child of why you stay in school. He was projected to be a a mid to late first rounder last
year but after a strong senior year campaign he improved his draft stock immensely.  Zeller's work ethic and motor will help propel him into the first half of the NBA draft.  He could be a very good pick for a team at the end of the lottery.  He is a 7 footer that can run the floor, has a decent mid range game, and he has become more physical in the paint.

Zeller has impressed teams early on in team workouts.  He is considered the best big man in transition making 79% of his field goals. He has already worked out in New Orleans and Portland.  He is expected to workout for Detroit in the upcoming weeks as they are showing a lot of interest in him and his former teammate, John Henson.

According to Ric Bucher, Zeller is expected to sign with sports agent, Jeff Schwartz, who also represents Paul Pierce, Michael Beasley, Deron Williams, former Tar Heel Tyler Hansbrough and Kevin Love just to name a few.  Schwartz agency also represents Tyler's older brother, Luke Zeller, who is currently playing in Japan.
