Tar Heels NFL Combine Preview

Charles Brown Cornerback:  The undersized Senior cornerback is projected to be a late round pick.  Brown could prove at the combine that he is worthy of a roster spot on special teams.

Zach Brown Outside Linebacker:  Brown was one of two Tar Heel that really impressed at the Senior Bowl.  One NFL draft expert has called him the most athletic linebacker in the draft and he has the ability to play strong or weak side linebacker.

Quinton Coples Defensive End:  Coples had a really good week at the Senior Bowl, as he was impressive in practice and carried the momentum into the game.  In fact some scouts said he was the best NFL prospect at the Senior Bowl.   Right now Coples would have to do a lot to
not be a top 20 pick.

Dwight Jones Wide Receiver:  Jones looks to rebound from a disappointing Senior Bowl performance.  If he can have a decent combine and pro day, his 6'4" 225 pound could be too much for teams to pass up on at the conclusion of the first round.

Dante Paige-Moss Defensive End:  Paige-Moss surprised coaches and fans when he announced that he was going to enter the draft.  He suffered a torn ACL in the Tar Heels Independence Bowl game loss to Missouri in December and is expected to miss next season. Paige-Moss has a lot of athletic ability, but he lacks maturity which he will need at the professional level. His draft stock plummeted last season, but he could be a steal late in the draft.
Tydreke Powell Defensive Tackle:  Powell is ranked as the 25th ranked DT invited to the combine and projected as a 7th rounder or undrafted free agent, so Powell has a lot to prove.
