Current Paris-Levallois and former Tar Heel teammates, Sean May and Jawad Williams just concluded the Paris League All Star game festivities. Both players were selected to the game that matches French born players against Foreign born players. Williams scored 13 points to help the Foreign team to hold on to 111-107 victory. Williams has made the All Star team two consecutive seasons while playing for Paris-Levallois.
Paris-Levallois has been on break since December 28th and will not resume play until January 12th. May and Williams took advantage of the time off and made their way back to the States.
When they resume play on the 12th they are in a highly contested battle for first place in the France ProA standings. Paris-Levallois is one of six teams that have a 9-5 record, which is best in the league. A big reason why Paris-Levallois is a contender has a lot to do with their two all stars. May is leading the team in points (20.7 per game) and rebounds (7.1 per game). Williams has averaged a solid 17 points, five rebounds and nearly 2 steals a game. Paris-Levallois is in search of their first title since 1997 when Paris Basket Racing earned championship honors. In 2007 Paris Basket Racing merged with Levallois SCB to form Paris-Levallois.
